How to Check the glibc (GNU libc) Version on Fedora 22
Pre-Flight Check
- These instructions are intended specifically for checking the installed version of glibc.
- I’ll be working from a Liquid Web Self Managed Fedora 22 server, and I’ll be logged in as root.
Using ldd
ldd --version
This should return a result similar to (though your version may vary):
ldd (GNU libc) 2.21

In this case, version 2.21 is installed.
Using dnf
dnf list glibc
This should return a result similar to:
Installed Packages
glibc.x86_64 2.21-5.fc22 @System
Available Packages
glibc.i686 2.21-5.fc22 fedora
In this case, 2.21-5.fc22 is the package installed.
